Kanagara –> Katoomba ( Overnight hiking )

Hello people,

Myself and Marta will be heading down to kanagara to do the famous and classic walk of the Bluey’s. This will be one of our starting trip’s to many overnighters to come along winter this season with some snowshoeing and snow camping as well.

The walk from Kanangra to Katoomba is one of the classic longer walks of the Southern Blue Mountains, along with the Six Foot Track and Mittagong to Katoomba. Crossing two national parks, it takes in some of the best scenery of both, including excellent views from the high plateaux of Narrow Neck and Kanangra Walls.

To be considered for the trip you will need to have a good level of fitness as we will be aiming to complete the walk in two days with all our overnight hiking gear’s. We will be covering over 45kms in those two days with an early start on Saturday so we might aim to camp around the starting point on Friday evening.

The club can provide you with the following ,
– Backpacks
– Sleeping Bag
– Sleeping pad
– Tent
Please mention which gear’s you’ll be needing along with some of your experience in overnight hiking. Also mention if you any medical condition’s which we should be aware of in case of any emergency.
