I’m running a multi-pitch day trip for advanced climbers with previous experience with multi pitch climbing. This means participants must also have done Rock Skills, Abseiling Skills and Multi Pitch Skills with UTS unless you gained your experience outside our club.
Location will be of these two options and will be confirmed prior the trip::
1. Sublime Point
Everyone knows legendary Sweet Dreams, but there are other interesting multi pitch climbs of grade 19, 20 and higher. Great place to deepen multi-pitch experience and enjoy being up high on a massive cliff with great exposure and beautiful views. This area offers sport, mixed and trad routes.
2. Reservoir Dogs in Medlow Bath
Access involves an abseil down to the bottom of the crag. There’s about 7 climbs, 2 pitches long, grades 17-22. Quite exposed with great views over Megalong Valley. Mostly sport, 1 mixed route. Great place to gain multi-pitch experience and get used to the psychological element of being up high on a massive cliff without the whole day commitment! . If you want to set yourself a challenge, do them all in one day.
To come on this trip you need to be comfortable abseiling and leading min. grade 19. You also have to be familiar with multi pitch theory and practice.
If I do not know you already I will contact you prior to the event to clarify experience and knowledge. Numbers are limited and preference will be for those with appropriate skills.
