Hello Outdoorers,

Abseiling/Rappelling is the beginner skills for joining more exciting club trips like canyoning. Abseiling is controlled descent with gears for brake purpose of the walking down a rock or cliff wall from a rope.

Join Dan (Leading) and Tyler to fun learning activities in Berowrra Valley NP.

What we will cover:
• Cliff Safety
• how to communicate between top and bottom cliff
• Pre-abseil final check (ABCDE)
• Fireman’s belay

This trip is for beginners[prioritised] and members who want to practice abseiling.

When & Where:
• Friday 26 June, Start 9:30 am : Finish 2:00 pm
• Roseville Station (Railway st side) ,It takes around 30mins from Central to Roseville.
• Abseil Location: Berowra valley National Park (20-25 mins drive from Roseville).

This trip will be in a new location in a national park with water views. no tourists, just nature. There will be 3 different abseils as we continue to move down towards the water finished as we reached picnic area next to the water.

All ropes and equipment will be provided by the club. Feel free to bring your own gear.

More details info regarding itinerary, what to bring will be sent out to successful participants by 25 Thursday.

-The club has protocols in place to minimise the risk of COVID-19 transmission. Please note that if you have symptoms of the COVID-19 virus, such as cough, sore throat, runny nose or fever, you should not join the activity. If you present with symptoms you may be asked to leave the activity
– We will attempt to maintain social distancing and use sanitisation measures
