activities
Join Tyler and me for a walk and a swim in Heathcote National park. We will walk from Heathcote train station down to Karloo Pools and then along the river to the more secluded Olympic pool (so called because it’s so big). We will meet at Heathcote station at 10.32am, walk for about an hour and a half, have a picnic, swim and return to the station about 3pm. The walk is relatively easy around 10km, but does have a steep bit at the end and does have some rocky parts at the beginning. You need good shoes for walking and long trousers.
What to bring
2 L water
Lunch and snacks
Sun protection (hat, sunblock)
Swimmers + towel (optional)
Space blanket + snake bandage
If you plan to swim please let us know if you are confident swimming (in freshwater).
