Hello all,

Get some fresh salty air and sand in your shoes with a cruisy 10km walk from Spit Bridge to Manly Wharf. This is an entry-level, 10km coastal walk that’s popular and accessible at all times of year (and in all weather!) See some aboriginal carvings and striking clifflines a stone’s throw away from CBD.

Some more info: https://www.sydneycoastwalks.com.au/spit-to-manly-walk/

Who can go: Anyone! If you’re a bit shy and new to the club, are not sure which adventures you’d like to try (or are a bit scared of them), or weren’t able to get onto a skills trip just yet, this is a good way to meet some trip leaders and other club members. Tyler and I have dabbled in the other trips and can chat to you about them and the main players teaching/leading them.

Gear:
Good walking shoes
Sun protection
Water for 5-6 hours of walking in potentially hot and humid conditions
Snacks
Bring your swimmers if you’re keen to play in the waves
Money for ferry fare (public transport is the go for this one)… and potentially for drinks/ice cream afterwards
Raincoat (forecast is not stellar, but we’re going rain or shine)

Looking forward to meeting and welcoming you.

Salome (Sam) and Tyler
