A big welcome to all the new members that joined this semester. Was great seeing lots of keen souls over the weekend participating in our Abseil Skills 1 trips!
Every Monday we go to the Ledge Climbing Centre at Sydney Uni for some cheap indoor climbing and socialising. There’s always a great energy and lots of amazing people to talk to! People start rocking up from around 6pm, and then at around 8pm, we head off to the pub for more chats and amazing food. The Southern Fried Chicken Pockets are a must-try (or the falafel buddha bowl for the vegos).

Time and place:
1800-2000 = indoor climbing at The Ledge Climbing Centre
2000-2130 = dinner and chats at Forest Lodge (Flodge) Hotel pub
Cost: $8 general entry to the Ledge upon presentation of UTS OAC membership card. No need to hire a harness, we have OAC harnesses you can borrow.
Getting there/parking: If you’re coming from UTS/Central, there are plenty of buses that go down Broadway which you can catch. It’s also only a 20 minute walk from UTS so super convenient if you have class that day. If you’re driving, the best place to park your car is street parking somewhere around the Forest Lodge Hotel. Parking at USyd is paid.
Other Details:
• No need to sign-up, but doing so will help us out logistically
• Everyone is welcome, bring your friends!
• Feel free to start and finish early or late
