Megafest Sunday- Dry Canyon and Pyramid Rocks- Intermediate Hike
**Due to road closures we are now going to Kamarah Ridge and Canyon Colliery Trail.
Want to check out a canyon but don’t want to get your feet wet and don’t have the rope skills (yet)? Want to see spectacular views, then to explore mysterious rock formations dotted through the valley? Up for a bit of off the track hiking and rock scrambling? Then join myself and Nuwan for a 1-2 hr hike through “Dry Canyon”, followed by a longer 2+ hour hike to Pyramid Rocks and Rain Cave (could be longer with exploring the rocks and caves).
Location: Both walks are located in Newnes Plateau off Glowworm Tunnel Road.
When: Sunday 4th December
No experience/skills necessary
Must be comfortable with rock scrambling and off track walking
Items to bring:
2+ Litres of water
Warm clothes incase the weather changes
Rainjacket
Sun hat
Sunscreen
Lunch and snacks
Sturdy hiking boots, trail running shoes or suitable bush walking shoes with grip
Personal First Aid kit if you have

If you plan to camp the night before as part of Megafest, please register in the “Megafest Overnight Organisation” event. We will be departing from Cathedral Campground in the morning on Sunday.
