Mega Sat – Navigating Lost Cities – Intermediate Hike
Put your explorer hat on and grab a map! We are off to find the Lost City…of Newnes Plateau. Ancient rock formations stand dotted throughout the valley to make an interesting landscape. We will be going off trail using our navigation skills to guide us. We will be using a map from the previous Paddy Pallin rogaine competition which our leader Salome helped to organise the event! No experience is necessary and we can run through some basic navigation skills for those that are interested.
Location: Lost City and surrounding area, Newnes Plateau off Glowworm Tunnel Road.
When: Saturday 3rd December
No experience/skills necessary
Must be comfortable with bush bashing and off track walking
Items to bring:
2+ Litres of water
Warm clothes incase the weather changes
Rainjacket
Sun hat
Sunscreen
Lunch and snacks
Sturdy hiking boots, trail running shoes or suitable walking shoes with grip
Personal First Aid kit if you have

If you plan to camp as part of Megafest, please register in the “Megafest Overnight Organisation” event. We will be returning to Cathedral Campground after the trip, but can also drop people at the station if they are not camping with us.
