What do you do if you abseil past an anchor? Or drop your belay device off the cliff?

James and Sean will be running this skills trip which will teach you essential skills to get yourself out of situations where things don’t go to plan. This is ideal for those wanting to be self sufficient when undertaking outdoor roped activities

What we will cover:
– Essential knots & hitches
– Ascending and descending a rope
– Joining ropes and isolating damage
– Improvising lost/broken equipment

Who is this trip for?

Those who:
– Have an intermediate level of experience with roped activities; climbing, canyoning, abseiling, or caving,
– Know how to build basic anchors,
– Have completed either AS2, or RS2, or equivalent

This trip is a prerequisite for the ‘Guiding & Improvised Rope Rescue’ we will be running in the next few months.

Where & When
– Sunday 12 Feb, (9am TBC), lower blue mountains

NB To be considered for the trip you need to supply the following information.

Please indicate any personal gear required in the ‘Gear I Need Section’, the club can supply: Helmet, Harness, PAS, and/or Descender.
