Rock Skills 1: Learn to Climb at Dural. Sunday March 12th.
Welcome new members and those keen to learn how to climb outdoors. We will be heading to Dural in Sydney’s North West for this skills trip which has lots of easy climbs to choose from.

This trip is for those who have done some climbing indoors but would like to take it outdoors! Please write your climbing experience in the sign up information when requesting to join the trip. If you are a driver and able to offer a lift to others please let us know too!
What we will cover
– Personal safety near cliffs,
– Pre-climb safety checks,
– Communications,
– Performing a belay,
– Basic rock climbs on top rope.
The club can provide you with most personal climbing gear for the trip if needed, please Cut & Paste the following into ‘Gear I Need Section’ when signing up (do not worry if you don’t know yet what the gears’ name correspond to):

Gear I Need (Delete anything you do not need)
– Helmet
– Harness
– PAS + Carabiner
– ATC + Carabiner
I’m afraid we cannot provide climbing shoes so these you must bring yourself or use grippy tight fitting shoes.
