Hello Climbers and Rock junkies! Have you grown tired of indoor gym climbing and thinking about making the leap into the wilds? Or are you an aspiring climber that wants to head straight into the deep end? Join us at Bangor! It is a beginner-friendly crag where we will give members the basic skills to be able to climb outdoors in a safe manner.
This skills trip is a prerequisite for club climbing trips.
What we will cover
– Personal safety near cliffs,
– Pre-climb safety checks,
– Communications,
– Performing a belay,
– Basic rock climbs on top rope.
The club will provide you with all the climbing gear for the trip. If you have your own gear, you are welcome to bring it. Whilst not a requirement for rock skills 1, bringing your own pair of climbing shoes will really make your day more enjoyable!
