Come join us on a Grade 3 walk along The East Rim and Wildflower track in Morton National Park during Minifest!
Note: after this walk, drivers will be camping at Bendeela Recreation Area as part of Minifest weekend and not returning to Sydney until Sunday. You will need to make your own travel arrangements if you cannot camp on Saturday.
This 6.7km return walk is considered moderate, along a well-established track. It includes great views of the Southern Highlands. Time-permitting, we will take a look at Fitzroy Falls and surrounds.
As you register, please provide the following information: (1) Are you First Aid certified? (2) What bush-walking experience do you have? (3) Can you take passengers in your car?
Personal items you’ll need:
- Day pack
- 2 L of water minimum
- Snacks/lunch
- Comfortable, closed toe shoes (please ensure all debris is removed and shoes are clean to avoid disease spread)
- Appropriate clothing for forecasted weather (long sleeves recommended)
- Sun protection
- Note to drivers: Park entry fees apply at the Fitzroy Falls Visitor Centre carpark.
Your trip leader, Nadiah, is a trained bird-nerd if you want to bring binoculars and have any ID questions.
