What a wonderful world of frozen alpine lakes, snow capped peaks, and other ways to describe it as qanuk (snowflake), katakartanaq (snow marked by footprints), tykky (chunks of snow frozen onto trees).

LOCATION: Kosciusko National Park
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Overnight hiking experience in cold temps. Please list the hikes you’ve done in the past.
GEAR NEEDED: Snow camping gear rated to -5 degrees, snowshoes (can be rented or borrowed),
PLAN: Leave late Friday afternoon/night, get the Thredbo chairlift up and head towards Mt Townsend to snow camp.
