hiking
If you have seen the iconic Aussie show ‘H2O: Just Add Water’, then you must also understand the hold that this show had on us in our youth. Mermaid Pools down in Tahmoor feels perfect for embracing the inner Aussie mermaid culture of the 2000’s. If you also like to reconnect to your roots through nature and childhood obsessions please join us on this wonderful hike!
This is a moderate hike that’s a 9 km loop with the potential for a swim at the end. There are spectacular canyon views (great for yelling ‘Cleoooo’) and towering eucalypts with some spicy and cuddly wildlife. This is a highly recommended hike.
Note: we cannot swim in the Mermaid Pools as it is a sacred Aboriginal site
What to bring:
Sun protection (Hat and Sunscreen at a minimum)
Rain protection (probably)
At least 2 litres of water (yes, really)
Lunch and snacks
Closed comfortable shoes
Mozzie spray
In your application please tell us what one of your childhood obsessions was? Priority will be given to those who can drive since the location is a fair way out of Sydney
Looking forward to it!
In the meantime, watch out for the condensation
