Join us for a fun day of climbing at Bangor West crag. This trip is best suited for those with a bit of experience indoor climbing who are looking to move into outdoor climbing.
We will be heading to Bangor West for this skills trip which has lots of easy climbs to choose from.

What we will cover
– Personal safety near cliffs
– Pre-climb safety checks
– Communications
– How to belay using an atc
– Rock climbing on top rope.
Requirements:
– Please write your climbing experience in the sign up information when requesting to join the trip. Failure to do so will drop you to the bottom on the preference list.
– We Strongly suggest you have climbing shoes otherwise you will have difficulty standing on the small edges that is common in outdoor climbing, however, you can still participate in this trip if you don’t. please state if you have climbing shoes or not in the signup information.
All gear can be supplied by the club (except shoes). Feel free to bring along your own gear if you have it.
