Leave your bad knee at home – Hiking @ Mermaid Pools and Tahmoor Canyon Circuit

hiking

It is getting warmer and the bush is defrosting… If you need to stretch out those creaky knees and squeaky ankles after winter, may I suggest hiking?

The Tahmoor Canyon Circuit to see the Mermaid pools is a more difficult 9 km loop that will definitely oil up your knees. There are spectacular canyon views, towering eucalyptus plus some spicy and cuddly wildlife (watch your toes!). It will definitely be worth embracing the spectacular Mermaid Pools, which are a sacred site for Aboriginal people. And should the weather be excellent we could go for a dip too.

In the sign up info let us know what your worst joint is and if it is up for this hike.

What to bring:
– Sun protection (Hat and Sunscreen at a minimum)
– Rain protection (never trust the weather)
– At least 2 litres of water (yes, really)
– Lunch and snacks
– Closed comfortable shoes for hiking
– Mozzie spray
