G’day adventurers,
Rogaining is the sport of cross-country navigation. You’ll have 6hrs to collect as many points as you can using a map, compass, your own two feet, and the help of your team-mates.
Every year, the Rogaining Association runs a “socialgaine”, meant to be a fun way to wrap up the season before it gets way too hot to run around collecting flags. This one is in our backyard, winding your way around the awesome coastal trails of the Northern Beaches.

Our epic LaneCoveRivergaine series has reached its final stage as we farewell the river at its mouth (sort of), the Heads of Sydney Harbour.
This years’ LCR VI covers the area from the Spit Bridge to Manly and North Head, with arguably some of the most spectacular harbour and beach scenery in the world.
The tracing of the Lane Cove River from its source in Pennant Hills to its ocean mouth began with LCR I in 2015, starting in Pennant Hills and extending to De Burghs Bridge in West Pymble. In 2016, LCR II continued the river’s journey down to Stringybark Creek in Lane Cove. In 2017 LCR III reached Fig Tree Bridge, then in 2022 LCR IV made it to the Harbour Bridge, and last year LCR V reached the Spit Bridge in Mosman.
On Sunday 24/11/24 you will have the opportunity of entering the final event in this legendary sextuple series.
The Hash House (start & finish) for the six-hour socialgaine will be at St Paul’s College on the edge of North Head with its natural bush, historic relics and spectacular views. The course includes Manly Beach and Manly Croquet Club, where you can have a quick dip and hit, respectively. At the conclusion of the event there will be an all-inclusive BBQ, provided by the world-renowned 1st North Sydney Scout Group, with its three-star chefs preparing gourmet eats.
