Hey Megafest-goers,
Join us for a day of outdoor rock climbing at Medlow Bath (subject to change if weather is poor).
Pre-requisites: Rock Skills 1 course. Equivalent climbing skills can be considered if you provide info on sign up.
Date: Sun 8th Dec 2024
Time: Meet at campground 8:30am; meet at Medlow Bath parking area ~9:30am.
Crag: The Sunbath. Suitable for beginners and intermediates.
What to bring climbing:
*asterisk = gear the club can supply. You are encouraged to bring own gear to Megafest if you have it.
Harness*
Helmet*
Belay device*
Rock climbing shoes (the club cannot provide these)
2L water minimum
Lunch/snacks
Sun protection (shade is minimal here, bring a cap to wear under your helmet)
Personal medication
Climbing stoke!
Transport: you will need to arrange carpooling to the cliff and back home with other trip participants, or catch a train from Medlow Bath station which is a short walk from the cliff.
Upon signing up, please include a note about your RS1/climbing experience and what gear you’ll need.
