Hey everyone,
We will be running a beginner hike on Good Friday.
It is a relatively easy hike, so if you’re new to hiking but have a moderate fitness level (it’s an 8.7km+ walk), this is for you! Of course, more experienced hikers are also welcome.
We will meet up at 10 am on Saturday at Springwood station where we will then split into cars to the trail (56 minute drive).
This walk has multiple lookouts with amazing views of the Blue Mountains scenery, and an abandoned coal mine from 1880 which we can explore! You can check out the hike here https://trekwaves.com/asgard-swamp-thor-head-hike-blue-mountains/
WHEN AND WHERE?
– Friday the 18th of April
– We’ll meet at 10am on Saturday at Springwood station
– We’ll probably finish the walk before 4:00 pm
– We’ll have lunch somewhere along the trail
– The walk is in the Blue Mountains National Park
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
– Closed, supportive shoes
– Sun protection
– Insect Repellent
A day pack containing:
– Water (1 litre minimum)
– Your lunch and food to share
GETTING THERE
– Train to Springwood station, don’t miss the train as they are not frequent
– Drive yourself
In the sign-up information, please put down any hiking experience you may have (‘None’ is fine) and what food you will bring for our picnic.
