Have you ever wanted to feel old and retired, sitting on the river bank, beer in hand and rod in the other?
Well await no further my friend! Join Hammy and I (Bennett) at Gunnamatta bay wharf for a cracking day of fishing on May 4th (may the 4th be with you). If your a beginner to the world of fishing no worries at all! It will be an easy day focused on helping you get a fish! And of course for those more experienced anglers it will be a nice day to hopefully catch some decent fish!
Gear:
We only have a few rod and reel set-ups so they will be shared around but if you would like to buy your own; Kmart and decathlon sets will be ok, otherwise I recommend BCF but no stress at all as we can provide!
FISHING LICENSE
Everyone who attends MUST get a recreational fishing license before the trip but its easy to get online!
$7 for a 3-day pass
$35 for an annual license (My recommendation as we are hoping to run some more fishing trips!!)
What should I bring?
Fishing rod and reel set up (if you have it but fine if not)
2L of water, good to keep hydrated!
Snacks and/or lunch, there is also a cafe right near. Also Cronulla is very close!
A bbq chair or similar if you wanna chill out while you fish,
Swimmers – Gunnamatta bay is home to a lovely ocean pool which will also be a bit of fun on top of our fishing fun!
Since winter is on it’s way, it may get a little chilly on the water particularly if its windy so a jumper and beanie will be ideal as well!

Cronulla station is very close for those using public transport. I believe its a 5 minute walk from there to our spot!
