Hello all,
***This trip has been postponed, due to the LACK of rain (heaven help me). We’re trying again Friday the 4th.***
‘Tis the season for all things glowing it seems. Ghost mushrooms are a bioluminescent fungi native to Australia. They’re fond of rotten eucalyptus logs and come out at the start of the cooler wetter months in our region. I have some intel on where some good clusters have cropped up in Mosman. It’s a good evening stroll near Chowder Bay and the adjacent trails by the military bunkers. We’ll do some long exposure photography and see what other cool fungi have cropped up.
Afterwards, depending on how long we’re out for, can go for some late night treats at the 24hr eatery, Maisy’s — bit of a local legend.
