Before the sun reduces everyone to ash we will be doing the Blackheath to Blue Gum loop. Beginners are encouraged to sign up, just have an ok level of fitness and a good attitude.
“The Blackheath to Blue Gum Loop Hike is a challenging 24.1 km circuit in Blue Mountains National Park. Starting and ending at 266 Great Western Hwy in Blackheath, this two-day trek involves steep descents into valleys and ascents back to plateaus. You’ll pass through diverse landscapes, including rainforests and the notable Blue Gum Forest. The trail’s Grade 4 rating indicates the need for good fitness and trail experience. Public transport options allow for convenient access to the trailhead.”
