Hello Adventurers!!
This Anzac Day long weekend (25-28 April), Susan and I will be doing a genuine wild hike through the beautiful Ettrema Gorge. Located in the Southern Highlands, inland from Nowra, the gorge cuts its way for many sensational miles of creek hiking and camping to be had.
This is considered a challenging route and completely wild. You will need to be an experienced hiker and completely self reliant, planning your food and water needs out across 4 days and carrying everything you need in and back out again.
There will be no house-keeping or room service. You’ll need a small spade and strong thigh muscles, You-know-what-I-mean!?!?
The club can help with some equipment including sleeping bags and mats and some cooking gear. Successful participants will need to be available for an equipment check and gear pick up prior to Wednesday the 24th if necessary. I can be flexible about arranging this.

Pre-requisites
– Multi-day hiking experience a must
– Fitness to carry backpack and all belongings on steep tracks and boulders
– Plan your meals and water accordingly
– Be comfortable with wild navigation and bush whacking
– Be comfortable in all terrain from long grass to thigh high water
– You MUST have the Friday 26th off – please make sure before registering
We can organise transport – driving up early on Thursday morning and getting back on Sunday night.
