Hello all,
We will be running a beginner Abseil Skills for any members who have not tried this course or who have tried, lack confidence and need to revisit the techniques. This is an excellent chance to learn abseil as MEGAFEST is just around the corner.
Our location is conveniently located and easy to access via public transport:
Burrows Park Sportsfield
What we will cover
– Maintain personal safety near cliffs
– Understand essential abseiling equipment
– Perform safety checks
– Belaying an abseiler
– Perform a basic abseil on single/double rope, static rope, with rap raks/ATC
– Abseiler/belayer communications
– Experience an overhang abseil
