Pete Phuah and I will be teaching, demonstrating and supervising participants through the basics of abseiling. It will be fun too!

Successful completion of the Club’s AS1 is a prerequisite for many Club climbing, multi pitch abseiling, canyoning, caving etc trips.

We will be doing this trip at the cliffs high, overlooking Clovelly Beach. We will meet at the Clovelly Crocodile’s (junior rugby league) club house, adjacent to the Burrows Park playfields. You can bus it to there.

If you are driving, please volunteer to transport other participants.

You will need:
WARM clothing layers and something wind/shower proof, a hat
Sunscreen
Grippy shoes
Snacks/food, at least a litre of water

YOU are:
moderately fit
happy to work as group, think and act safely, listen and do.

We are close to civilisation! So in a pinch, food, drink and toilets aren’t far away.

EQUIPMENT
The Club can supply needed personal gear. Including abseil devices, helmet, harness and PAS.

Please indicate if you can bring your own gear, especially your own harness.

Common gear, including ropes, anchor gear, first aid kits will be provided by the Club.

We are limited to 6 participants (and two Trip Leaders, thus far) so only register if you WILL DEFINITELY COME.
If you register, and then must bail please let me know ASAP so another keen club member can take your place.

Be on time, there is much to learn and practice.

An morning session is also being posted.
