Hello everyone,
Keen to learn abseiling from a cliff? Dan (TL) and Tyler (Sec) will be running this abseil trip to give members essential skills to abseil and join future canyoning trips.
What we will cover
– Maintain personal safety at the top and bottom of cliffs
– Prepare for an abseil activity
– Conduct pre-abseil safety checks
– Get on and off the rope
– Communicate between cliff top and bottom
– Perform a variety of abseils
– Negotiate common abseil hazards
– Perform a fireman belays
Who is this trip for
– This trip is for beginners, no prior experience is necessary.
When & Where
– Friday 28 Feb, 1pm-4pm
– Clovelly Cliff, Clovelly
What to Bring
– Food: Lunch & Snacks
– Sunscreen
– Hat
– Water (2L)
Transport:
-Clovelly Cliff is close to clovelly beach and 15mins drive from Central. approx 30mins by bus. The exact location will be included in confirmation email.
Notes: All rope and safety equipment will be provided by the club. Feels free to bring your own gear if you wish to use it.
