[Full] Beginners Abseiling, Abseil Skills I @ Clovelly, Sydney

Hello Adventurers,

Abseiling is an essential skill for club trips such as multi-pitch abseiling, canyoning, and climbing. Join us on this skills trip to give you the techniques and knowledge to undertake a safe and successful abseil.

What we will cover:
– Maintain personal safety at the top and bottom of cliffs
– Prepare for an abseiling activity
– Conduct pre-abseil safety checks
– Get on and off the rope
– Communicate between cliff top and bottom
– Perform a variety of abseils
– Negotiate common abseil hazards
– Perform fireman belays

Where & When?
Morning Session: 10am – 2pm

Location: Burrows Park, Clovelly Cliffs

Participants will need to catch a bus from Central to Clovelly Beach
Personal items to bring:
– Closed Grippy Shoes, no flip flops or open-toe sandals.
– Warm comfortable clothes.
– Light rain jacket in case of light rain.
– Sun protection.
– Snacks and water.
– All long hair must be tied back.
– Fun adventurous spirit!

All rope, safety equipment, helmets, harnesses, and sanitization will be provided by the club.
