abseiling
Daniel (leading) and Tyler will be providing the first abseil skills 2 workshop for 2020. This workshop will focus upon anchor building skills required for you to safely and confidently abseil off. We will cover essential knots, anchor building principles and practice using slings and webbing. We will also cover self rescue techniques in the workshop.
-All rope and safety equipment will be provided by the club.
Location: Middle Cove Crag. This site is an easy to access crag in Sydney, close to chatswood station and bus routes from/to cbd.
When:
– Sunday 21st June, start 9:30am.
Who is this trip for:
Participants must have completed abseil skills 1
To encourage participation I will give priority to participants of this workshop to join a brand new multi-pitch abseil trip invented by Daniel in the lower Blue Mountains in 2019. This adventurous trip is similar to abseiling trips like Boars Head only without all the crowds. Posting in July.
Please be mindful during this workshop:
-The club has protocols in place to minimise the risk of COVID-19 transmission. Please note that if you have symptoms of the COVID-19 virus, such as cough, sore throat, runny nose or fever, you should not join the activity. If you present with symptoms you may be asked to leave the activity
– We will attempt to maintain social distancing and use sanitisation measures
More details to follow to participants
Weather might be a bit wet.
I will notify successful applicants by 3pm Friday 17th with more details.
Please feel free to ask any questions
