canyoning
Hello Adventures,
The UTS Outdoor Adventure Club has organised a canyon skills workshop day with The Australian Canyoning Association (ACA) on Sunday, 6 November.
The ACA is a voice for the Australian canyoning community, helping to facilitate interaction and sharing of ideas between canyoners.
This workshop will cover the necessary skills to traverse a canyon environment safely and efficiently and allow our members to learn modern canyoning techniques.
What will be covered:
– Risk
– Teamwork & efficiency
– Communication
– Gear (personal and group)
– Single rope technique (SRT) basics
– Releasable anchors
This workshop is suitable for those who have basic canyoning knowledge and are familiar with being on rope and abseiling. Please note your canyoning and abseiling experience when signing up in the sign-up information, so we can ensure this workshop is suitable for you.
Places for this workshop are limited, so please don’t hesitate to sign up.
