What to expect: Easy walking tracks, slow pace and regular stopping. Over 100 bird species can occur here, and we will likely see at least 15 different native species. See a list on eBird here: https://ebird.org/hotspot/L2556400. Critically Endangered Swift Parrots have been seen in recent weeks.
Who this trip is for: anyone interested in native Australian wildlife
What you’ll need:
- Binoculars (you can borrow mine but will get more out of the day with your own)
- Comfortable closed-toe shoes
- Water (min 2L)
- Sun protection (hat, long sleeves)
- Warm clothing
- Snacks
- Small backpack for your personal items
- Money for splitting fuel/toll costs if carpooling
A field guide to birds of Australia will be available to share.
