We will be running a weekend overnight hike, camping at Acacia Flat. A total distance of 24 km, involving fire-trails and single-track hiking. A classic blue mountains hike that will start at Blackheath station, no car needed to join!

To conclude the trip on Sunday evening, we certainly will reward ourselves with a few pints at the Ivanhoe before making our ways back to Sydney.
Pre-requisites
• Have reasonable fitness to carry in camping gear for the duration of the 2 days.
• Be comfortable with hiking 24km and scrambling up rocks with a large heavy backpack.
• Be comfortable in going to the toilet out in the bush, digging holes and covering properly.
• Be comfortable with off-track hiking (this means there will be no trails at times)
Be aware:
• There are no public toilets or shower facilities along this walk. There is a (stinky) drop toilet at camp
• This trip is weather dependent and we will make the call by the 26th
Gear you will need:
• The club can provide you with a pack, sleeping bag, tent, liner, mat, head torch, and a gas cooker (byo gas) for the weekend.
• BYO: Warm clothing, rain gear, any medications, food, plenty of water, hiking shoes, poles, gas, navigation, powerbank
