We’ll be running a trip to Bungonia over the 12-13th of April to check out a few of the caves in the area and have a bit of an explore. While not the most pretty cave systems in NSW in terms of crystal formation, the caves are all easy to access and are a great way to get introduced to caving and experience the ‘sportier’ side of things.
We’ll be heading down for the weekend, aiming to spend time on more of the vertical caves, so preference will be given to those who have experience with ascending ropes, or significant experience and fitness with rope activities and a minimum of AS1.
You will need to book your own campsite for the weekend, which is ~$27 per night. Hot showers and a kitchen area are available but you will need to bring your own cooking equipment. If you want to come only for a Saturday day-trip that’s fine too, there’s no need to stay the whole weekend
