Hi all!
Join Caielan and myself on day 2 of Megafest, for a cracker day through Claustral Canyon!
This canyon earns a 10/10 on the TB scale, and with good reason. You can expect sustained narrow constrictions, and plenty of moss and ferny goodness. Three abseils in quick succession will see us through the ‘hole of calcutta’ and shortly afterwards an optional Thunder Gorge trip, time permitting.
Please note this is an intermediate/advanced canyon trip, lasting anywhere between 8-12hrs. You must meet the criteria below:
– High level of fitness
– Have done Abseil Skills 1 or equivalent- must be able to abseil confidently and independently.
– Can list at least 3 canyons completed recently
– Strong swimmer and comfortable in water.
– This canyon will be run on Day 2 of Megafest, with an early start. If you will be partaking in festivities on the Sat evening, please note that you will need to be in a state to canyon safely.
