Bushwalk Route – Cowan to Berowra via Berowra Waters:
~12.9km day hike – with >600m elevation gain: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/australia/new-south-wales/cowan-to-berowra-via-berowra-waters
– Moderate/Hard day hike, >600m of elevation gain. Start: Cowan , End: Berowra
– Duration: ~ 6 to 7 hours (conservative estimate, accounts for lunch break etc.)
*please ensure you’re happy with the difficulty of the hike before signing up! that way you enjoy the hike 🙂
Date & Time
– Saturday 15th February
– Arrive at Central in time to catch the 8:48am Wyong service from Central (Platform 8)
– The Train arrives at Cowan station at 9:40am
Lunch:
– we will catch the ferry across Berowra Creek to visit Water Vista Cafe
– this will provide an opportunity to buy takeaway style lunch, or if you’re bringing your own lunch then it’s a good chance to get an ice cream and cool off! 🙂
What to bring:
– have a good breakfast before starting the hike
– snacks to keep you going for a 6 hour hike
– If you’re not buying lunch, then pack a lunch
– *at least 1.5L* of hydration capacity, it’s a long day hike so don’t get dehydrated
Additional Notes:
– If you have your own first aid kit or supplies you are encouraged to bring those along (just in case) – we won’t be venturing far away from civilization so no stress if you don’t have your own supplies!
