Is there a better way to spend a long weekend than being cold and exhausted?! For those who are up for the task, Tim and I will be running a couple of canyoning trips over the long weekend. Each trip is listed individually, so if you would like to come for multiple days you will need to register for each trip. Alternatively if you have other plans, feel free to sign up for one trip only.

Saturday’s trip will be down Whirlpool and Horseshoe canyons. Both of these canyons have not been done by the trip leaders before, so please bear this in mind when registering.

This will be a very long day, leaving Mt Wilson station at 7:00am and potentially taking 10+ hours to complete both canyons. Abseiling is needed for both canyons, so anyone registering will need to have completed AS1 or have equivalent experience elsewhere. For those who are not keen on making the trip to Mt Wilson in the morning, there is free camping available at Cathedral of Ferns, where some of us will be staying throughout the weekend.
