canyoning
Hi All,
Tom and I will be running a 3-day Canyoning trip @ Easter Glen Davis canyoning.
3 canyons in mind are – Coinslot, Freshwater and Wowsers.
Some of these we have not done before so will be first-time navigating in.
These canyons require rock scrambling, off-track route finding, long creek hoping
and boulder traverses.
Glen Davis is about 3.5 hours from Sydney and we’ll be camping at Coorongooba Camground.
Pre-requisites.
@Good fitness – some canyons are long days.
@Can swim at least 50m with a heavy pack.
@Comfortable with rock scrambling and off-track and bush-scrub walking.
@Can assist with navigation and route scouting. Using phone nav or map and compass.
@Have recent experience canyoning this season, at least 5 abseil canyons.
@A Self-sufficient canyoner can rig their device confidently, assist with rope pull-downs and coiling, and help carry rope. Can Rock and Creek scramble independently.
@Have your own camping gear. I’ll be collecting group gear, and won’t have space to carry other gear. However, we can meet at storage should you need to borrow camp gear.
@Participants who can help drive would be an advantage.
