Welcome to the second Hunger Games! I mean… Interclub Story Night! Six months ago, we hosted a night at UTS where adventurers from a bunch of uni outdoor clubs presented stories about their epic adventures. This time, we’ll be doing a similar thing, but at the Forest Lodge Hotel (the bookable back room, where they have a projector).

HOW TO SIGN UP
No need to sign up here. Instead, register your attendance by purchasing a ticket. Tickets are $5, and their main purpose is to discourage no-shows. There are a total of 60 tickets for all the clubs, and they will be given out on a first-come-first-serve basis, so book fast!
FOOD AND DRINK
- Snacks and sides will be paid for.
- You’ll order your own mains and drinks there.
AGENDA
This time, we’ll aim for a split of bigger long-form stories, and smaller, more local short-form stories. We’ll also be welcoming a guest speaker, Brendon Flanagan (an ex-president of our club and a key member of the Australian School of Mountaineering), to give a presentation about the journey of writing his new book, The Australian Climbing Handbook. The below timings are just a very rough guide.
- 5:30pm doors open.
- 6:00pm short stories about local trips start.
- 6:45pm Brendon’s presentation.
- 7:00pm food and chat break.
- 7:30pm longer stories about bigger adventures.
- 8:30pm wrap up the presentations, people are welcome to sit around and socialise a bit longer.
