Hi all,

Nat and I will be heading out to the Wollemi Wilderness for a weekend of canyoning on the 19th/20th of October. These canyons are a little out of the way but seem well worth it.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
– Good physical fitness. We’ll be doing a lot of walking to and from the canyons. Surefire may be as much as a 12-hour day.
– AS1
– At least a couple of other canyons/some other abseiling experience. There are supposedly some awkward abseils.

THE PLAN:
– We’ll head up on Friday night and set up camp at Barcoo Swamp.
– On Saturday, we’ll get up nice and early to tackle Surefire canyon.
– On Sunday, we’ll do Galah canyon before heading back to Sydney.

GEAR:
– Don’t worry about the ‘gear I need’ section, I’ll send out a spreadsheet to organise this closer to the date.
