Ready to take your climbing to the next level? Lead Climbing is the real deal. An essential skill where routes have no top access, and for those wanting to progress to multi-pitch and trad climbing.
James, Cedric & Fabio will be running a Lead Climbing skills trip at Mt Alexandra.
What we will cover:
– Climbing on lead,
– Belaying a Lead Climber,
– Falling technique,
– Terminology of Lead Climbing,
– Climber/belayer communication,
– Cleaning a route,
– Safety & risk management,
Who is this trip for:
This trip is for those with existing experience climbing outdoors on top rope who want to learn to Lead Climb.
Requirements:
– must completed Rocks Skills 1 or equivalent,
– must be climbing regularly indoor or outdoor,
– must have own climbing shoes and padded harness (not the tape style).

To be considered for the trip you need to supply the following information when joining the trip:
– My Climbing Experience (eg indoor/outdoor, how many times, skills trips completed)
