Hello adventurers!
Butterbox or Mount Hay Canyon is my favourite canyon in the bluey, with jumping into the water from highup, enjoying the thrill of sliding down a boulder, and the adrenaline of going under the choke-stone and into the waterfall.
Megan and I are leading this amazing trip. It’s going to be a chill yet exciting day.
You can expect a beautiful stretch of river valley, constrictions, swims, jumps, scrambles and epic ridge walks. This is an intermediate/advanced trip, you must have done a few canyons by now, be comfortable with heights, jumps into water, abseiling and extended swims with packs and wetsuits.
Prerequisites: Abseil Skill 2 or equivalent (anchor building & self rescue with prussiks)
The walk in and out is also quite long and can test even the fittest of us!
The reward is worth it! If you fit the pre-requisites, get on board!
