Hey Everyone
Want to kickstart Megafest weekend with a solid canyon? Join Seb and I on Gobsmacker Canyon —also known as the less catchy “Lower Bowen’s North Canyon.” The name says it all. It is a beautiful beginner canyon with a few short but exhilarating abseils so join us and see what all the hype is about.

Experience Required:
Must have completed Abseil Skills 1 (AS1)
List any previous canyon trips you have done (none is OK)
Must have a decent level of fitness – steep stairs out with all your gear
Gear Required:
Helmet (club can provide)
Harness (club can provide)
Abseiling Device (club can provide)
Gloves (club can provide)
Wetsuit (club can provide)
Canyon backpack (club can provide)
Drybag (club can provide)
Rain Jacket to block wind (some parts will be cold)
Hair Ties for long hair if required
Closed, Grippy Shoes
Lunch and Snacks
2L of Water
