Looking to get into outdoor climbing or improve your skills? Join us for Megafest Saturday – The Soft Parade crag on Saturday, 7th December! This trip is perfect for beginner and intermediate climbers who want to gain more experience on the rocks. Get ready for a supportive, fun-filled day with fellow climbers and experienced members of UTS OAC!

Time: Meet at 9 AM at the campgrounds
Trip Highlights:
Beginner and intermediate-friendly routes
Learn climbing techniques, outdoor safety, and belaying skills
A scenic outdoor setting and the chance to make new friends in the club
A relaxed, friendly atmosphere that’s ideal for building confidence on the rocks
Requirements to Participate:
Minimum Requirement: RS1 (Rock Skills 1) or relevant experience. Please describe your experience in the sign-up form so we can ensure everyone’s comfortable with the activities planned.
Transportation Preference: Priority will be given to those who have cars and can help drive others, but having a car is not required to participate.
What to Bring:
Climbing shoes (highly recommended for outdoor climbing, but please bring your own as the club cannot provide these)
Harness (club can provide)*
Belay device (club can provide)*
Helmet (mandatory; club can provide)*
Water bottle (2L recommended)
Snacks and lunch for a full day out
Sunscreen and sun protection (hat, sunglasses)
Comfortable, flexible clothing for climbing
Positive vibes and a sense of adventure!
* Items with an asterisk can be borrowed from the club if you don’t have your own gear. Please let us know what you will need to borrow from the following in the “Gear I Need” tab on the registration form
