Hey yall, Serena and I (Hamza) are leading a beginner-friendly climbing trip on Sunday, 8th December to The Nest Crag! Please take note that the hike in and out of The Nest is longer than most other crags, so be prepared for a bit of a trek. That said, the routes are amazing and the stunning location make it well worth the effort!

Time: Meet at 9 AM at The Campgrounds
Trip Highlights:
Beginner-friendly climbing routes with plenty of support and guidance
Learn the basics of Cliff edge safety, climbing safety, techniques, and outdoor belaying
A relaxed and fun environment to connect with other climbers during Megafest
Scenic views and an exciting introduction to outdoor climbing
Requirements to Participate:
Minimum Requirement:
All participants must have completed RS1 (Rock Skills 1) or demonstrate equivalent experience. Please provide details of your climbing background in the sign-up form.
Transportation Preference:
Priority will be given to those who can bring cars and help drive others, though having a car is not required to participate.
What to Bring:
Climbing shoes (highly recommended for outdoor climbing, please bring your own as the club cannot provide these)
Harness (club can provide)*
Belay device (club can provide)*
Helmet (mandatory; club can provide)*
Water bottle (2L recommended)
Snacks and lunch for a full day out
Sunscreen and sun protection (hat, sunglasses)
Comfortable, flexible clothing for climbing
Positive vibes and a sense of adventure!
