We’ll be doing a day hike on Megafest Sunday 8th December near Lithgow, walking out to the Lost City Viewpoint and back. (https://www.alltrails.com/explore/trail/australia/new-south-wales/lost-city-viewpoint-from-bungleboori-campground). At approximately 6.6km with 150m elevation gain and showcasing rock pagodas, this is a great walk for anyone, including beginner bushwalkers and the injured.
Please include your plan to get to/from the walk so we can organise car spots.
When and where?
– Sunday 8th December
– Bungleboori at 10am (see Getting there)
– We’ll have lunch at the lookout during the walk
What should I bring?
– Closed, supportive shoes
– Sun protection (i.e. hat, sunscreen)
– Comfortable clothing
A comfortable day pack containing:
– Water (1 litre minimum)
– Food
Getting there
– For those camping at Megafest, meet at Cathedral of Ferns at 9am. I’ll have 4 spots in my car, and we’ll see how we go from there.
– For those going directly there, meet at the alternative visitor parking for Bungleboori at 10am (https://maps.app.goo.gl/4EtkdRrfRVfBMHSy6).
| Bungleboori will be closed to visitors until the end of 2024 for a picnic area upgrade. An alternative visitor parking area is located 800m west of Bungleboori on Maiyingu Marragu Trail (Blackfellows Hand Trail). – If required, we can do pickups from Lithgow station
