snorkeling
With the weather for Saturday foretasted over 30 degrees, we will be cooling off at Malabar Beach with some snorkeling
We will meet near the Malabar Pool Sign (1 Bay Parade) – 11.30 AM
Getting there:
• Light rail to Juniors Kingsford and catch the 390X bus (50 min from central)
• Driving yourself: there is limited free parking around the beach
• Grab a lift from me: I can pick up a few people from North Sydney station at 10.30 am sharp
This trip is for people who:
• have a good cold tolerance
• are comfortable being outside on 30+ degree days
• can swim at least 200m unassisted
• are comfortable swimming in the open ocean
What to bring:
• Swimmers
• Hat
• Beach Towel
• Water Bottle
• Sunscreen – a must with the heat
• Snacks (be ready to share)
• Sunglasses
Gear you will need (the club can provide equipment if necessary)
• A wetsuit if you get cold in the water (XS,S, M,L, XL) – Please mention size
• Mask and snorkel
• Flippers
If you will be driving to the beach and are happy to provide a lift to a few more people, let us know.
Please provide some information about yourself and your snorkeling/swimming experience in the sign-up info. You will be much more likely to get onto the trip if you do.
