Date(s) - Sunday 13 October, 2019
7:00 am - 8:00 pm
Ron, Mukessh and I will be heading to Castle Head in Blue Mountains this Sunday for a multi-pitch abseil.
This means the wall is so high that it must be completed in sections. Castle Head is located on the Narrow Neck Plateau in the Blue Mountains. The Ruined Castle and Mount Solitary can be seen from there – it’s an awesome abseil with some great views.
In order to participate applicants must:
1.) Be confident with heights;
2.) Have previous abseiling experience (please detail experience in the description section, together with what gear you need (eg, helmet, descender, harness, PAS));
3.) Be able to scramble on a rock face;
4.) A good level of fitness, for example able to walk up a steep hill approx 300 meters high with a backpack; and
5.) Respond to emails promptly.
Preference will be given to those who can drive and carpool.

Note that the trip is weather dependent as forecast at the moment doesn’t look great (we’re hoping it clears up by the weekend!).
Expect to leave early in the morning and back late at night – it’s a long day.
Hope to see you soon.
This activity is fully booked.
