Hi everyone,
Billy, Pat and I are heading to Nowra for a weekend of outdoor climbing, camping at North Nowra Riverfront Caravan Park, opposite Thompson’s Point. There will be a fire at camp 🙂
Costs involved:
- Camping: ~$20 per person for Saturday night, payable on arrival, or by bank transfer a few days prior. Billy will also be staying Sunday night if anyone wants to add another day of climbing in on Monday.
- Kayak hire (to cross the river to the crag): $50 deposit. Be aware — the riverbank can be quite muddy.
- Firewood (split amongst everyone)
- Fuel to your driver or if carpooling
Climbing grades range from mid-teens to high-20s, though some routes are known to be sandbagged (hard for the grade).
Prerequisites: RS1 certification and confidence climbing at least high-teen grades (or equivalent skills — please include your experience when registering).

– PAS + carabiner
– ATC + carabiner
Registrations without the required information will not be accepted.
Meeting point details shared a few days prior, but probably The Grotto or Thompson’s Point.
