Date/Time
Date(s) - Friday 14 March, 2025
5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Yall ever wanted to spend an evening by the water, rod in hand, just waiting for that big one to bite? Maybe swap a few tall tales about the monster fish that got away? Well, now’s your chance! Sean and I (Hammy) are taking yall out for a laid-back fishing trip on Friday, March 14th, at 5 PM. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just wanna give it a shot, this is the perfect excuse to kick back, enjoy the evening, and maybe even catch dinner (no promises, though).
We’ll also be firing up the BBQ! and bring the food, so no need to worry about that. And hey, if we get lucky, maybe we’ll even throw some fresh fish on there—but no guarantees.
Location:
The exact fishing spot will be decided closer to the date, depending on weather and conditions. We’ll make sure to pick a solid spot with good chances of catching something worth bragging about.
Gear:
- We only have two extra rod and reel setups, but these are our personal gear, not club-owned. If yall got your own, bring it along! If not, we’ll do our best to make sure everyone gets a turn.
- If yall are looking to buy a rod, feel free to ask us for recommendations. Cheap setups start at around $30, and we’re happy to help yall pick out something that’ll work.
Fishing License:
- Everyone accepted onto the trip MUST get a fishing license before the trip. It only takes about 5 minutes to do online.
- $7 for a 3-day pass
- $35 for an annual license (Highly recommended if yall think yall will fish a few times this year!)
What to Bring:
- A fishing rod and reel if you have one
- A hat and sunscreen for sun protection
- A water bottle (stay hydrated, yall)
- Any snacks or drinks you’d like
- A camping chair or something comfy to sit on if you don’t wanna stand the whole time
- Any food for the BBQ if you want (will be sausages otherwise)
How to Join:
- Sign up using the registration form below and let us know if yall need to borrow one of the two personal rod/reel setups. If spots fill up this time, don’t worry—we’ll be running more fishing trips in the future!
- If yall know of any great fishing spots that you think everyone would love, let us know! We’re always looking for new places to check out.
- If you’ve read all the important info up to here, thank you. In your sign-up, answer this: If you could catch any mythical creature while fishing, what would it be? It helps us know yall actually read everything, and it might just improve your chances of getting a spot.
We’re looking forward to a great evening by the water. Let’s see who lands the biggest catch!
