Hi everyone,
Join us for a fun day of climbing at Bangor West crag. This trip is best suited for those with a bit of experience indoor climbing who are looking to move into outdoor climbing, however, everyone is welcome to sign up.

Content we will cover:
– Equipment used in outdoor climbing
– Cliff safety
– How to tie into a rope (figure 8)
– How to set up an atc device
– How to belay using an atc
Requirements:
– There are no formal requirements however you will get a lot more out of this activity if you have a bit of indoor climbing experience. please put your climbing experience in the signup information, even if it’s none or very little. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL DROP YOU TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PREFERENCE LIST.
– I Strongly suggest you have climbing shoes otherwise you will have difficulty standing on the small edges that is common in outdoor climbing, however, you can still participate in this trip if you don’t. please state if you have climbing shoes or not in the signup information.
All gear can be supplied by the club (except shoes). Feel free to bring along your own gear if you have it.
