Date(s) - Saturday 09 November, 2019 - Sunday 10 November, 2019
This year’s Rogaining Championships are in the iconic Bay of Fires region in Tasmania. The event spans the weekend of November 9th/10th.
“There will be a wide variety of terrain types in the event area – steep, subtle, granite, coastal, marshes and some former tin mining areas. Don’t be put off because it is a “championship event”. There will be control sites that test the navigational ability of the elite teams, but there will be something for family and social rogainers to enjoy.”
Even if you haven’t attended an orienteering or rogaining event before, this will be a fun outing with the club, where you can learn and explore in a beautiful place. We’ll arrange teams and leadership within our guidelines to accommodate ability and interest. We’ll have some more experienced rogainers (the ‘Godwits’) around from prior events — Salomé Hussein (myself), Susan So, Adam, and James C.
